I know there is power to the heater just need to test the heater to make sure it is working correctly. The engine feels like it's derating but I have limited data access with my scan tool. Fuel rate stays normal but boost will drop to 16psi at 99% throttle.

But once it starts the voltage will start varying between as low as 10 volts up to about 14 volts. Each time the voltage drops below 12 volts the warning light will come on and then go off once the voltage goes back up. After about 5 minutes or so the system will settle down and maintains at about 14 volts.The Cummins air intake ( grid ) heater , is in a square block about 2 1/4" high sandwiched between the air tubing from the CAC ( Charge Air Cooler ) and the intake manifold . The 3 wire sensor is the Boost pressure sensor. Thr boost has nothing to do with the intake heater. The other sensor is the coolant temp sensor.
